Black Myth: Wukong’s Xbox Series X/S Version Delayed Indefinitely Due to Memory Leak Issue – Rumour

Last week marked the launch of Black Myth: Wukong, which has quickly gained both critical acclaim and impressive engagement numbers on Steam. The action RPG has achieved the remarkable milestone of selling 10 million units at its debut. However, players on Xbox Series X/S have not been able to join in on the excitement, as the game's release for their platform has encountered several hurdles.

Before the game was released, the developers at Game Science indicated that the Xbox version was experiencing delays due to technical complications. Now, leaker eXtas1s has taken to social media to share insights suggesting that the primary issue is related to a memory leak that has led to frustrating crashes and performance issues.

As a result, the Xbox launch has been postponed indefinitely while Game Science diligently works to resolve the problem. Reports suggest that the game is nearly ready for Xbox release, but it remains unclear how long it will take to address the memory leak.

Considering the game's formidable sales performance and its positive influence on PS5 hardware sales, it's likely that Microsoft is eager to see Black Myth: Wukong available on its consoles as soon as possible. The emergence of this situation must be particularly frustrating for the company, especially after missing out on the significant buzz generated by last year’s successful launch of Baldur’s Gate 3.

At present, Black Myth: Wukong can be played on PS5 and PC, leaving Xbox fans in anticipation of its eventual arrival.
